One of the most serious roadblocks to progress is lack of organization. This one’s been smacking me around for a while and I’m determined to smack it back.
We acquired (thank you, Dan) a building that had been used as an aviary. After removing all the interior walls, the future installation of a double width door makes it the perfect building for my shred shed. It’s definitely well ventilated and has enough room for my shredder and more to store the bags of shredded foam away from roosting chickens. The bags will be out of the way and safe from puncture until such time as they are needed for construction.
I’ve also commandeered a small trailer in which I can store supplies. I can hook it to my little pickup and move it wherever I need it. It will store the sand, cement and paint that’s mixed with the ground EPS. It’s not quite big enough for the forms but they normally stay at the construction site so no worries there.
My finally “gotta have” is a mortar mixer. Wadly’s been promising me one. It’s time.
