I really like the octagonal shape. It’s aesthetically appealing, easy to build, easy to roof . . . what’s not to like. My architectural software won’t allow me to make 22½ degree walls so I couldn’t draw this oriented north and south as it would need to be on the site. I like this design, and it is expandable, but still has some issues. I can easily tuck my office into the corner of the utility room. The bathroom needs to be able to open onto the deck which means rooms need to be reconfigured to accommodate the extra space needed.
